The Sunday Sessions at Caffe Caldesi

 

We have been open at Caffe Caldesi for 15 years, a cause for celebration we think. Our year-long birthday celebrations will start from late March (when we opened in 2002) to end of February next year. We are going to party and we would love you to join us. We are throwing a series of one-off events on a Sunday lunchtime – some are educational, some might spark debate, some are just an excuse for a bit of fun. Our next event……

 

The King of the Table

Sunday 7th May @ 12.30pm

There is a saying in Tuscany where Giancarlo is from that the pig is the king of the table. Join us for some ‘Nose to Tail’ eating with Giancarlo Caldesi as he guides you through a prosciutto tasting of Parma ham which he will cut off the bone, San Daniele and other prized charcuterie together with hot “torta fritta” bread.

Giancarlo will explain how to make the perfect Tuscan ragu with pork and beef and how to cook porchetta.

It’ll be a celebration of all things ‘maiale’and a must for any dedicated carnivore.
